HARP RALLY 2010

Written by Wayne Tuesday, 07 September 2010 17:13

The harp rally this year was dedicated to the late TONY KELLY, We brought back the silly games ,slow bike race, barrell push, musical bikes, and the obstical course.Which were a great bit of craic ,The exact way tony would have done it.   The weather was,nt great on the sat, but we were very lucky that the rain held off.The bike folk braved the weather and checked inn from 4pm till after 11pm .And the brilliant CMA Crew for the polishing and the will to listen to all. CHEERS LADS. The DJ was in great form setting up in the marquee from very early ( Cheers jimmy great job as usual pal ) ,The 2 bands this year were BAD PENNY & SMOKING MOJO , Bad penny were yet again fantastic knocking out savage tunes and keeping the croud on the dance floor (Cheers lads). But the big surprise this year was SMOKING MOJO this is the first time the lads have played our rally, and let me tell ya man can them lads play ,anybody looking for Quality !!!! you dont have to look any further then these bands, The lads played there hearts out for the croud and were greatly appreciated. Then we had the famous  MISS WET T-SHIRT Competition and as per uasual nobody would get up on the stage ???? Untill one brave girl came up and then there were 5 . And with the help of the croud a winner was picked. Then it was the turn of the professional ladies (the stripers.) they were greatly welcomed to the nights entertainment . Harp Rally - 09 - Thanks

Written by Wayne Wednesday, 09 September 2009 10:49

It gives me great pleasure to announce that this years rally was a brilliant success , while over 500 rally go'ers enjoyed themselves immensely, the members of the club worked very hard in making sure that everyone's needs where met. We were very lucky with the weather as the rain held off and kept people in the party mood.

A big thank you to Bad Penny and Voodoo for rocking the night away. To all the winners that received trophies and of course the wet t-shirt contestants, that were brilliant on the night. Last but not least, the two young ladies who took all their clothes off at the end of the night to keep the lads awake! It's our aim to make sure that the Harp Rally remains a genuine value for money rally in these hard times, so please keep supporting CMCC because without your support there would be no Harp Rally.

Yours in biking,

Wayne O'Neill,

Chairman

Harp Rally 2006 MAG Review

Written by Administrator Monday, 30 March 2009 07:51

We checked into the Harp Rally down pedagree corner around 9p.m. At this stage the weather had cleared to a few light showers having hit some torrential downpours as far as Stradbally. The checkin was the usual 12 Euro with badge which was a beauty. The rally and badge were being dedicated to John Mulhall, a club member who was taken from the lads in the last year.

The carpark had quite an amount of bikes in it and the lads had it well secured. Inside the hall there was a good crowd of the usual suspects present. Druids, Slippy Clutch, Ceatharlach, Renegades, No Hopers, Wild Rose, Suir Side and a few clubs from across the pond, The Greedy Pigs and the Black Widows U.K. The lads do quite a few English rallies during the year so they get good support back. The first band up were "Rock of Ages" who played a good tight set of covers getting the crowd in form for the rest of the night.
