It is with deep regret that we learn of the death of Tony Kelly (100% PURE GENTLEMAN) . Tony was one of the founders of the C.M.C.C. way back in the 70's, and he was with the club for many years to follow. Sadly Tony passed in November last year. A great loss to both family and friends alike.
C.M.C.C. would like to remember Tony as the kind and eager motorcyclist that we all strive to be. For everyone who knew Tony in the motorcycling world they would remember him for his dedication and perfection in everything he did (When all anyone else would do is mess about haha). The best example has to be the games at our annual Harp Rally were he was the king of entertainment, however he didnt suffer fools and he lay down the rules. It was his way or the highway!
Tony will also be remembered for his gardening skills and his work will grow on for a very long time to come.
So C.M.C.C. would like to invite all the family and friends of the late Tony Kelly to a benefit night. All proceeds will go towards his family.
Location - Strawberry Hall Pub - Friday the 5th of March.
Music, food and dancing (if you wish) and even some silly games (I bet he will love that!)
Everyone welcome
R.I.P. Tony

On the 1st September 2005, one of the great "characters" of the C.M.C.C. was tragically taken from us following a racing accident on the Isle Of Man. John Bourke, better known as "Bourkey" to all his friends joined the C.M.C.C. in 1998 and quickly established himself as a most respected and popular member due to his unique sense of humour, strong opinions and ultra competent skills aboard a bike. In life Bourkey excelled at anything he ever put his hand to, a gifted musician, school teacher, qualified helicopter pilot and computer programmer. There was no boundary to his intelligence or determination! This determination would see him re-cover from a horrific road bike accident in 1999 to live his ultimate dream and become a road racer. In paticular race the famous mountain circut of 37 and 3/4 miles on the Isle Of Man. Following a very successful campaign on the Irish road race scene in 2003/2004 Bourkey headed to the 2004 Manx Grand Prix to contest the 600/750cc newcomers race and the result was astonishing, not only did he break the 105mph lap but also won a coveted "Silver Replica" for finishing 14th of 78 starters. This was the greatest moment of his life! Sadly, almost one year to the day later, Bourkey was to lose his life whilst competing in his second Manx Grand Prix. A beautiful plaque now exists in his memory on the Isle Of Man, The place that meant more to him than anywhere else in the world. He is sorely missed by everyone who ever knew him. Especially close friends, family and long-term partner and soulmate Anno!
In memory of John Bourke by Rossi
Gone but not forgotten
Forever in our dreams
Every Sunday the sun shines for you
The bends are as you dream
You will be there at every party
You will take part in every race
You will stand there on the podium
You will race with all the stars
And if Angels ride on R1's
Then you will surely travel far
On Earth You were My Friend
And now you are a Star
so glide on heavens highway
And lead the train up front
One day you will be waiting with
Martin and together we will ride
Once more again as Friends
The white line side by side

Martin was one of lifes greatest people, you would never feel left out if he was in your company. He rarely lost touch with anyone he knew, so he socialised a lot, but some of the best memories I have of Martin are from when the bikes and the socialising were combined. Rallies, Rock nights, Stag nights are only the tip of the iceberg. If I were to say life is a lot duller without Martin it would take another lifetime to explain, such was the amount of laughs we had together and then he also had a 'knack' of calling you when you had the worlds worst hangover so that you would get up and help him with a nixxer. There will never be anyone that will fill Martins shoes hard as nails but a gentleman, and one helluva pilot I hope he's watching down on us, coz he's probably the fastest Angel up there.
God Bless you Martin, we miss you.

Its hard to describe someone who created such a huge impact on our lives, as well as many others into a small paragraph. But here goes. A loving, caring, brother, son and father. Always the cause of great laughter and crack. You may have died but you live forever in our hearts.
Rest In Peace John
